Would you mind doing that at home?
Student volunteers took to the streets to launch a no-spitting campaign over the weekend in Dalian, Liaoning province. Liaoning Normal University’s Green Association was the organizer, in cooperation with other universities across the country. Students held up banners and posters in the city’s downtown area asking people not to spit in public spots. They also played the role of city cleaners by removing marks of spit left on the sidewalks. The one-day campaign attracted the attention of local people and inspired some to join in by doing their bit for environmental protection.
